Slavery changed history, it changed the way we are even living today. It all
started with slavery, then started to become a more racial issue in the Civil
Rights Movement. Even today in some places, people are continuing to be racist.
Not even towards african americans or people with a different skin tone,
sometimes some people that practice different religions. Back when slavery was
happening, in the timeframe of 1619-1770 which my topic is on, there was racism
but mostly they used slaves for labor, money, and to feel like they could have
power over another. Slavery is a major turning point in history because there
were so many events that happened, thousands of lives lost, history was made,
and heros were discovered. The thing that suprises me is people today look back
at slavery and think that it is such a horrible thing, but some people still
have slaves and are racist today.
